The USA PATRIOT Act, designed to instill a sense of security in those who read its title. And who would do anything more than just read the title? Seriously, it's pretty dry.

What is in store for the diligent? Those who actually check up on what the government is doing? Some pretty disturbing surprises...

What's in a Name?

First of all, USA doesn't stand for what you think it stands for. I was under the impression, at first, that USA meant "United States of America"...silly me. The truth is much scarier. It's real meaning is as follows:

U NITING AND
S TRENGTHENING
A MERICA BY

P ROVIDING
A PPROPRIATE
T OOLS
R EQUIRED TO
I NTERCEPT AND
O BSTRUCT
T ERRORISM

The government and military like abbreviations and code names. It makes them feel like they are doing something secretive and exciting. Unfortunately, they are doing something very secretive. And exciting, if you're Dr. Evil.

Remember that little thing we were told that we have, called "freedom"? "Sovereignty"? They're on the way out. It turns out that those who are in power want to sell out our country to the internationalists. Internationalists are the people who want to create a one-world-government because they think it will create peace. What they fail to realize is that removing all borders will eliminate governmental responibility. For example, what if there were one-world-government when Hitler was elected? One man could literally rule the world in tyranny. Scary.

North American Union in Disguise

The "USA" in the USA PATRIOT Act means "Uniting and Strengthening America". I will remind you that you do not live in the country of "America". You live in the United States of America. "America" is the continent that our country is a part of, but is certainly not the continent itself. Maybe some have forgotten that Canada and Mexico are also on our continent.

When our own government documents ignore the name of the United States of America and refer to us as America, you begin to get a glimpse of what their goals are. Our country is already united. America is not.

Why would they say "uniting America" in the title of the USA PATRIOT Act? Uniting America. Uniting America. Uniting America. DO YOU GET IT? This is just the beginning.

The Purpose of the USA PATRIOT Act

The summary of the USA PATRIOT Act states the following:

To deter and punish terrorist acts in the United States and around the world, to enhance law enforcement investigatory tools, and for other purposes.

Do you see the last 4 words of that summary? They read, "and for other purposes". Can you tell me what is an "other purpose"? Couldn't that leave room for literally anything?

United it Stands, Divided it Falls

After the title, summary, and table of contents, the USA PATRIOT Act grants itself the ability to stand even if part of it is found to be unenforceable. It's interesting that they found the need to mention that part of it may be unenforceable. Could that be because it's unconstitutional? That would make it unenforceable. Read the quote below:

Any provision of this Act held to be invalid or unenforceable by its terms, or as applied to any person or circumstance, shall be construed so as to give it the maximum effect permitted by law, unless such holding shall be one of utter invalidity or unenforceability, in which event such provision shall be deemed severable from this Act and shall not affect the remainder thereof or the application of such provision to other persons not similarly situated or to other, dissimilar circumstances.

The next section is where it really begins. It begins to use terms like "terrorism", "domestic terrorism", and "international terrorism". They do not feel the need to define this vague term... until section 802, the 106th page of this document.
